    ok found two things.
    Found in events/settings/location list/archives/Include in WordPress Searches? set to yes so that now works.

    But the new shortcode [location_search_form]

    you have to have text in the box same as set on main search
    set in formating/search form/Show text search?

    But this shortcode will only search locations, and Main Search will only search events/dates

    So if i phrase main search, search events, that also show in the location page using[location_search_form]

    any way to have two different phrases?

    Trying to add just [event_search_form] to my locations page without making settings in formating/search all i see is a search with no box to type in

    ok worked it out and actually quite cool now.
    Only comment i would add is
    1) (formatting search form show text) applies to location and event ideally option to add different text to each search box events and location
    2) show search button next to date when show search form enabled.
