We have multiple directory pages hosted from the same database. Is there a shortcode to add the “Search” option to our larger directory pages?

All of the premium templates include the features to filter by category and keyword searches:

“Circled” did not have a Search field at the top, so I switched to “Tile Plus”.

In the shortcode, I filtered the category to #13, which is “Danville School”. Is there a way to have the Search limit to that same category? If I do a search for a specific position, I would end up having everyone in the district in that same job.

If I search for “Principal”, I just want to see the Principal within that category, not all Principals at all schools.

    Thanks!

The Circled template includes search, it is off by default. Here’s the link that explains how to turn it on:

Select “Danville School” from the category dropdown and then enter “Principal” into the keyword search field. here’s a link that shows that search in your directory. The results are the principal and the assistant.

Thanks! I found that within the “circled” template, with the Search function manually re-enabled, it actually returns results for that school only… which is what we want.

If we decide to go with TilePlus using the link as you suggested ( https://www.timberlane.net/trsd-staff-directory-v2-tileplus/?cn-s=&cn-cat=13 ),
Is there a way to remove this notification at the top?:
“You are searching within category(ies): Danville School”

Is there a way to have all entries on one page?

Also – We are also looking at using Gridder. https://www.timberlane.net/trsd-staff-directory-v2-gridder/
Is there a way to shrink the grid/photos to a smaller size? From a desktop computer, there are 3 photos per row. I’d like smaller photos at 4-5 per row, as the pictures provided to us are in a lower thumbnail quality.

Thank you for your assistance with my many questions. We are tryng to get things set up right on one site, before deploying to 7 more!

Please navigate to the Connections Settings admin page and click the Display tab.

Disable the “Show Clear Search Message” option and save the change.

RE: Is there a way to have all entries on one page?

Pagination can be disabled on a template, but if you have a large directory (100 or more), that will negatively affect the page load speed. The more entries, the slower it will get.

    Yes, please see this FAQ:
