Search Highlighting

  • I’m wondering if there is a way to display search results in the wordpress blog such that it will display where it found the terms you searched for.

    So for example if I search for “test”

    It should display the title, date and all the other good stuff and then have a short excerpt of where it found the search term.

    So it might display something like….

    “Each peach pear plum here comes Tom with a test thumb.”

    Any ideas on how to do this? I read that this was done in WP 1.2 but I’m using 2.x (latest version)
