Search Icon disappeard after Upgrade

  • Hey there,
    I am currently working on a page where I use the vantage theme.
    Here ist the Website:
    https://www.blog.novum-led.de

    After the Upgrade of Worpress and Vantage theme (I did it both at the same time, so I dont know what exactly caused the Problem) my search Icon and the Icon to Scroll Up to Top have dieappeared.
    I have already seen the other topic https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/search-icon-has-disappeared?replies=3 but that didnt help me.

    One thing to note:
    I am using a child theme, so maybe that is the reason why the workaroung postet above is not working (although I cant seem any reasons why there should be a difference)

    We’ve unfortunately seen this happen a few times lately. We changed the icons in question from image sprites to a webfont. We did this to resolve a few problems the image icons had like lack of customisability. We believe the issue you’re seeing now is due to server side caching as it usually clears up in a couple of days.

    If you’re running a caching plugin you can also clear it’s cache, although it doesn’t look like you are.

    In summary, give it a few days, things should resolve.
