With the Presto Player plugin enabled, searches result in a 404 page. If I disable the plugin, searches work normally again.

With the Presto Player plugin enabled, searches will also work if I’m logged in, but after I logout, the searches stop working. So it is broken for normal visitors.

I also notice, when I’m logged in and perform a search, the individual media files are showing up in the search results. This isn’t ideal, since they’re already included in the normal posts. But I noticed if I click on one, on the top it says “unpublished” — even though they are published. Not sure if that could provide a clue.

I tried going through all my Presto Player posts and changing the status to “private” and then back to “published” but it didn’t make any difference.

@dave3 Could you please make sure that the Media Hub items are properly set to “Published”? Screenshot: https://bsf.d.pr/i/4VFjcc

For more information, you can check this doc: https://prestoplayer.com/docs/instant-video-page/

@softfully As of now, Presto Player doesn’t have the option to disable Media Hub content from appearing in front-end searches. However, you can try excluding the pp_video_block from the search field as a workaround.

I didn’t notice the “Instant Video Page” drop-down. That does show as “Unpublished” even though the media status is “Published” and the videos play fine for visitors. Should that cause the search functionality for regular posts to be broken?

Is there a database field for the “Instant Video Page” I can update so I don’t have to click through all of the hundreds of items, if it’s necessary to update?

    Thanks

After going through each Media Hub item and changing the “Instant Video Page” to “Published” I am able to search and get results again. Thanks.
