Search is slow and takes more than 11:00 to 20:00 seconds to get response

    I am using Ajax Search for Woocommerce with Salient Plugin

    https://www.granniezgreen.com/?s=kabas response takes 3.66 seconds. Whereas https://www.granniezgreen.com/?wc-ajax=dgwt_wcas_ajax_search&s=kabas is taking 11.86 seconds.

    The search speed depends on many factors:

    1. How many plugins do you have?
    2. How these plugins affect WP Query?
    3. How many products do you have?
    4. How your WordPress is optimized?
    5. How your server is fast?
    6. How big is the search scope?

    I recommend disabling search in description, a short description, and SKU. Also, try to disable “Non-Products in autocomplete” like matching categories and tags.

    If you need a different search engine that native WooCommerce, think about switching to the Pro version or try alternative tools.
