I have a woocommerce site with products with two different product numbers. The main number begins with a “T” and those will return results when a search is done. That “T” number is used as the product/post title. However, I have an OEM part number in the product description that also needs to be searchable. I have rebuilt the index, I’ve tried adding the number as both an attribute and a tag (both of which Relevanssi is set to search) and still I get no search results when searching for an OEM number. I’ve tried with just the number and with adding OEM and OEM# in front of the item in the search bar.

Please help. It is imperative that a visitor be able to search for a part by either part number. Thank you!

What does the OEM number look like? Is it just a string of numbers, or does it include spaces or punctuation?

It contains a dash, 617531-14. I just tried leaving the dash out in the search and it still returned no results.

The OEM# is 6 numbers with a dash followed by 1 or 2 numbers. A few have a letter at the end, such as 645997-11L.

Relevanssi sees that as “617531 14”. That may cause some problems. This may help. Does it?

That did the trick! Thank you soooo much! That saved the day!
