Hi! I’m using Unit on my site (beautiful, by the way), but since it’s a child theme of Founder, I decided to post here. I hope that’s okay.

When I try to use the search function, I’m getting an Error 500. I followed this post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-500-after-search/ so I went through each of my plugins, deactivated them, and nothing changed. Next, I tried changing themes. I switched to Twenty Fifteen, and the search worked. I also tried your other theme, Period, and it also worked, so I’m thinking the issue may be with Founder.

Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!

    Yea that’s no problem ??

Thanks for pointing out this error. It is a bug with the search results page in the Founder theme. I have an update scheduled for Monday where this will be fixed. Are you okay with waiting until then?

Don’t know if this is related:

Got this when I tried to use the Search field.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘;’ in /home/hdrbodega/www/www/wp-content/themes/founder/search.php on line 10

Thanks for taking care of this. I’m a little new to theme upgrades. Will it appear in the WordPress panel like a plug-in upgrade?

    Great thanks for understanding!

@ptbates1 Yes, you’ll see a notification in the dashboard for the update. In the Appearance menu, there will be a notice on the theme and button you can use to auto-update.
