Search not working with some products

  • Hi there! A client came to me asking for help to fix some issues on their web. And one issue is that the Ajax Search Bar isn’t working properly.

    The problem is that when you type some specific words in the search bar it returns some results in the dropdown list but when you click the “search button” in order to see all the results on the page, it doesn’t show anything.

    There are some words that work perfectly (dropdown and results in the page are the same) but some others aren’t displaying anything in `results.

    The website is in Spanish so you can try with “tatuajes” (tattoos), you can see that there are some results in the dropdown list but when you click on the search button, nothing will be displaying.

    Can you guide me in order to get this fixed? Thanks!

    UPDATE: I found that if I use “All” instead of “Products” in the search settings, they all appear but also I’m getting some post and I don’t want that. Wich is weird because those missing products are “PRODUCTS” for wordpress.

    Also, if I change the url query from “?post_type=product&s=tatuajes” to “?post_type=products&s=tatuajes” (with “products” instead of “product”) I got all the products even the missing ones.

    Hello there,
    there’s some plugin conflict. Are you using some plugin to add the shop filter inside the result page? If yes try to deactivate it.
