Search only in selcted PDF files

WPFTS does not distinguish folders where PDF files are stored at the moment. The only need for the plugin is PDF files that need to be uploaded to the WP posts structure and thus visible in WP Media Library.

Currently, we are working on improvement where you can assign category and tags to the attachment (exactly like it was done for usual WP posts) and thus you can group your PDF files and search within a category or tag using WP_Query() call.

It should be ready in a couple of weeks.

The PDF files will be uploaded to the WP posts structure and also visible in WP Media Library. But we need to exclude or include PDF Files to be indexed or not and the possibility to search only in included or excluded PDF files. Some PDF files are only available for subscribers and others should not be visible in search results …

Thanks for your question!

There is no reason to exclude some PDF files from the search index because in this case, they become not searchable at all. Instead, there is a possibility to exclude some documents using WP_Query() parameters. You can specify post_type, category, tag, date, etc etc for this. With WPFTS you can also specify cluster weight. If you specify one cluster weight to 0, records with this cluster will not be found.

I need to know the exact requirements to be specific. Would you able to explain details?
