Search only perform on entries?

The search searches the database, not the files like the sidebar and footer. If you want that, I’d suggest you setup Google or Yahoo on your site. ??

Is there any other solution?

Try search pages plugin from David B. Nagle. I have found that it works like a charm; It might be just what you need.

I use Search Everything personally. It allows you to search both Pages and comments.

But again, that’s just a plugin that lets you search more database items. There’s no way to search files (the sidebar, footer, etc.) without Google or Yahoo or something like that that will index pages.
