Search Options

Hi Andrew,

You have two options to add column specific search:

(1) Define columns to be searchable in Search Settings

(2) Use the Search Builder

Both are premium features. The second option is very easy to implement but needs to load all data into the browser on page load which makes this option unusable for large tables.

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction, Peter. I do have the premium plugin so will now investigate. As I am planning on large tables in the future, I guess I should be thinking about the first option.

The dom option allows you to hide specific controls (like filter (= search)). More info about the dom option can be found here:
https://datatables.net/reference/option/dom

For projects this is currently not possible, but you could write some javascript code to hide the control.

BTW, hiding the search box for projects is on my to do list! ??

Thanks Peter – the more flexibility the better I guess. I was thinking of using something like microthemer to modify the relevant page.
