    Hello,

We are testing out the plugin with the GeoDirectory plugin. We are getting better results with Ivory when compared to the built-in GeoDirectory search, but need some adjustments to solve two outstanding issues. These issues could be solved by the paid pro version of the plugin.

    1. Can multiple ordering types be set for search results? For example, order by title alphabetically and order by relevance.

    2. Can posts that have a category of “featured” be returned and displayed at the top of the search results, sort of like ads on Google search results. I know the plugin supports sticky posts, but the places CPT does not have this functionality built-in, so we cannot utilize it.

    Cheers,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

You can use any one type of ordering as describe don the below page.

Yes, you are right that you can achieve this by marking the post as a sticky post but If it not possible for you to mark the post as sticky then you have to develop custom code to achieve it.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have reviewed the ordering KB article, but I need to confirm if more than one ordering option can be set for the search results. For example, ordering the results by title alphabetically AND relevance.

No, as said above you can use any one type of ordering and not more than one.
