    If someone could help with this I’d be very happy!

    Is there a character limit for a WP exact phrase (“…”) search? If so, is there a plugin which gets around this limitation?

    People say a lot of things about the WordPress search functionality. I would recommend taking a look at using Google to handle your search for you. There are many articles on this available.

    Thanks for that. Are there any particularly recommended plugins that can do the job?

    There are a few plugins (if you search WordPress plugins). I haven’t used any myself. I followed a guide or two that I found myself, on how to do it manually.
