search result page does not show up

    Today I realized that the search does not lead to the search result page. When I type a search term, the mini-search result box shows up. But when I press enter, the page only reloads and does not show the search result page.

    The search was working fine last time I checked and I didn’t change anything since than.

    I’ve updated all plugins but the problem still exists. Log does not show any fatal errors.

    Hi,

    There seems to be a 3rd party script overriding the form submit method, that is causing the issue.

    The event handler points to this file exactly: wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/js/apbct-public-bundle.min.js

    That originates from the cleantalk spam protect plugin directory. Try turning that plugin off temporarily, or look in the options if there is any way to exclude some elements.

    I’ve turned it off and can confirm the search is working properly. Turned it back on and again doesn’t work. Thanks so much for your speedy help! Much appreciated!
