    Hi,

    I am wondering if it is possible for the content displayed on a page via Content Views plugin to be included in the search results for the page it is displayed on?

    So if I have the term “cheese” in a a post, and the post is displayed on the home page, when searching the site for the word “cheese” would the home page come up in the results?

    Hi,
    Yes certainly. You can do it with the Content Views Pro, using the Replace Layout feature. This feature will help you to show search results in grid (or other layouts easily). It also works for Category, Tag, Blog… pages.

    Hi, I am not sure that my question was understood.

    If I search for a term “cheese” that is contained in post “Dairy”, and the post “Dairy” is included in a Content View on the “Home” page, when I search for the term “cheese”, can the “Home” page show up in the search results?

    As I experience now (with free version), the post “Dairy” turns up in search results, but not the “Home” page, where the post is displayed.

    I received this answer from Customer Service:

    We know that the post “Dairy” is included in “Home” page. But what WordPress search function sees in “Home” page is only the View shortcode.

    While searching, WordPress doesn’t execute shortcode in page, so WordPress doesn’t know that “Dairy” is included in “Home” page content.

    There are some plugins which improve the Search functionality. I think they will make this work.
