Search results irrelevant

I am curious about the wordpress search function. When I search for a specific keyword on my site, I get a list of very irrelevant results. For instance, if I search the keyword “wheat,” the top search results don’t contain that keyword anywhere in the title or post, and the ones that do contain that keyword in the title are 5 or 6 articles deep after those that are completely irrelevant. Is there someway to remedy this or is it just the way wordpress search works?
