For some reason the serach results with “Use Algolia in the backend” is limting the display to 12 resutls, despite there being 27 hits on the Algolia dashboard.

We would like all the results to be displayed.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Definitely sounds like you deactivated most of them, but WooCommerce and ACF Pro aren’t small plugins either.

A source of conflict could also be the theme. I understand if you can’t deactivate/change everything in the case of it being a live active site, but if it’s a local install, that’d be a good chance to try changing the theme temporarily.

Also, just in case, has it been verified that it’s connected to the right account and the correct index prefix for the source you’re expecting?

@tw2113 Yes they are both big plugins and the client site is very dependent on ACF to function.

I’ll switch themes to a base theme and run some tests on staging. With ACF disabled, but I would believe we need to keep WC enabled, because ther results we want are WC products.

@tw2113 Alright, so disabled all plugins except WC, and the Algolia Search plugin, switched the theme to 2020.

Did a search for wild and got 176 results.

So, I enabled started enabling plugins one by one, until I got to FacetWP and then results went back to 12. I know in an earlier post I mentioned that I disabled FaceWP and still had the same issue, but that was also a test on the production site, the staging site has no caching and I think caching might have been at play.

In the end, there is a compatibilty issue with WP Search with Algolia and FacetWP, given almost all of my clients use FacetWP, it might be a good idea to find a way to mitigate that issue in your plugin if it detects FacetWP is installed/active.

The question at that point is detect and do what? Based on discussions with our other developers, when the search query is being made, it’s sending the parameters to Algolia, receiving the results based on that, and injecting those found results into the WP_Query call. Could easily turn into a question which happens first, the FacetWP work or the Algolia returned results work.

Not giving up on the idea, but it definitely needs potential exploring and likely a good amount of testing as well, before anything gets released for it.
