Search results stopped working

    Been using the plugin (plus BP distance Search) for a number of years for a Therapists directory. The directory searches have stopped working in last few days. I get error

    BP Profile Search: [bps_directory] currently doesn’t work without the BP Classic plugin

    on the results pages. v5.5 of the plugin is installed.

    Can you help please?

    Hi epsilis,

    That means you should install and activate the “BP Classic” plugin.

    This is a temporary solution, until I find a way to make [bps_directory] work with the latest versions of BuddyPress.

    Andrea, I have done that now and it seems to provide a partial solution. The results (listing) page now works but the individual profile detail page (linked from the serps page) now does not work. I just get a 404 message

    Oops! That page can’t be found.

    It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try to search for something else?

    Can you suggest what else needs to change to get this working.

    This looks like a problem with your BuddyPress templates:

    /themes/blocksy-child/buddypress/members/index-1.php

    /themes/blocksy-child/buddypress/members/members-loop-1.php

    If you can paste them into pastebin.com or a similar site, I’ll take a look to make sure the profile links are correct.

    Thanks for the files, they helped me locate the problem in BP Profile Search.

    I’m preparing a fix, and I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.

    Thank you for your patience! BP Profile Search 5.6 should fix the incorrect links, could you please test it?

    You are welcome!

    And yes, at the moment the BP Classic plugin is needed when using a custom directory, as in your case.
