    Hello,

    When using the search box on the linked page (“Search Questions”), nothing happens. The call does appear to be made to the SearchIQ database, but there are no suggestions, even if typing in a single letter. This search box was added to the page by a “SearchIQ search box” widget (Appearance -> Widgets). It is configured to be limited to one category, which currently should include about 70+ Posts and about 70+ Pages.

    Also, when looking at our dashboard, it says “502 / 2000 Documents” But the total number of published posts and pages that should be indexed right now is 592.

    Please let me know if there is something we’re doing wrong in our implementation or configuration. Also, we’ve seen it mentioned about “resyncing” or “resyncronizing” but we can’t find anywhere to do that. Please let me know how that is done.

    @formos We are checking the issue with search widget as we can see the Footer widget is working fine. We will update you soon.

    @formos Please click on ‘Create Search Engine’. Then you will proceed to the Resynchronization step.

    @formos Are you indexing another domain? We allow indexing only 1 domain in ‘Free’ plan so you are getting this error.

    Hello,

    It is strange that other SearchIQ widgets we have implemented on the site seem to be working as expected. Also, as I mentioned, the number of indexed documents (502) is not accurate according to the number of documents available (592).

    Let me know what to do to get the widget working and also how to “Resyncronize Posts”.

    @formos We have checked your site and observed that you have added a category filter on the widget for category named “Question Answer”, but looks like there are no posts in this category or the posts for this category are not indexed yet. So, no results are displaying.
    We tried changing the category to “In the News” using developer tools and got the results. Please check the screenshot. https://monosnap.com/file/BIZ8tHZ21W95uFvJo4ZFcc2LzhPw9N

    Is the resynchronization working fine or you still observing the issue?

    Thank you for your response.

    I see from the screenshot that the problem seems to be that the category “Question Answer” is not properly or fully indexed for some reason.

    We still do not have any ability to resyncronize. Please advise how we can force a resync of posts/pages in order to get everything properly indexed.

    @formos Please reset configuration, delete the engine from the SearchIQ dashboard, and input API key again. If you still face the issue, please create a login for us on the dev site. It will be easy to check.
