Search Terms Tagging 2 Killed My Rankings – Will They Come Back?

  • I loved the concept behind Search Terms Tagging 2, but shortly after I installed it, it caused problems for my site. I think that Google has penalized my site because a few days after I installed it because of keyword stuffing and thin content via tag pages. My site went from page 1 for some keywords, down to page 2 and even beyond page 10.

    I deleted the plugin and noindexed the tag pages via robots.txt but still in increase in rankings.

    I know that other people have had similar issues but I don’t know of anyone who has really regained their rankings. Has anyone seen their site come back up after removing this plugin?
