Search URL

Hi there
typicaly the URL when I did a search within a WordPress site is: https://www.domain.com/?s=keyword1+keyword2
On my site the URL after a seach is just https://www.domain.com, so the ?s=keyword1+keyword2 is cutted. If I type in manualy https://www.domain.com/?s=keyword1+keyword2 then it is working. Also https://www.domain.com/search/keyword is working. This should be the final outcome after the search.
I have deactivated all plugins, but still the same. Any idea how to get this fixed?
