Search video in comments by title or other..

not sure what you mean, as (except is you add some hooks) LYTE does not act on comments podi?

Lyte works with (in) comments, you give me a code for that in the past…

OK, so you have a page with 500 comments some of which have a LYTE’d video and you want to find one specific one. I would suppose control-f would work, no?

It’s ok.
ctr +f work, but only is a single page…

to make it easier to read and not slow down the loading time, I have organized 20 comments per page.
imagine 500 vidéos on the same page…
so, the solution is?

Ah … well, they won’t show up in WordPress search so the only possibility left would be to use Google (or Bing or DuckDuckGo or … ) search as they will index the comments and *see* the titles?

I found plugins that search in the comments..
but dont know why they dont work with Lyte.
im not a programer , but i think if you know what need to search (class title, or metadata …), maybe you can tell what modify or add ?

WordPress search does not search in the rendered HTML, but in the data in the database. In the database there is only the YouTube link, not the rendered player and I don’t see how this could be done differently.

Regarding Google/ Bing; nothing to install, just go to the search engine of your choice and search for <keywords> site:<your site>.

As an example searching for soundtrack site:blog.futtta.be on Google will list a post that does not have “soundtrack” in the text, but in the LYTE’d playlist title.

there’s no filter available for this I’m afraid podi, I don’t see a solution that can easily be applied here .. :-/

sure, but that wouldn’t change the fact that the title will still be shown in the comments, over multiple pages, so it would be as easy/ difficult to search, no?

ok, in my head, I thought I had two articles with the same comments (also copied)
one article with thumbnails, another for research.

But it should not work like that, on the other hand, is it still possible without copying the article to hide the thumbnails and only display the title of the video?
