• First of all, I must say that I’m very satisfied with the plugin so far. There is one thing which would be so helpful if that can be fixed.

Since in our language (Hungarian), there are several letters with accents on letters like, o, ó, e, é, ?, ?, etc. when you are searching for a word like “láz” works really well. But there are many occasions when users forget to use the accents (they a lazy to type on mobile devices because it takes more time), so they type “laz” instead of “láz”. Unfornutelly in this case the search field won’t find the word or the part of the word since the search term is not identically with the word in the table cell.

Is it possible to bypass or ignore accents when the search field is used?
Same as when you are using Chrome built-in browser search when pressing CTRL+F!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
i am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately with the curent plugin’s capabilities, we don’t have any way to make a solution that would recognize a different character for the “search” instead of the “special character” from Hungarian locale.

You can make a suggestion, though, for a future option, so our management and the developers will do their best to consider working on a solution in the future, but i can’t promise if or when it might be possible.
Please feel free to search on our suggestions page (https://features.wpdatatables.com/), to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can’t see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list. You can certainly follow our changeLog if you’d like(https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpdatatables/#developers), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates; and our newsletter(https://wpdatatables.com/newsletter/), so you’re informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    Thanks for your answer!
In the meantime, I’ve noticed something which leads to the conclusion that the feature I’ve requested is actually working in some cases. Let me explain in detail!

    https://krokirendelo.hu/labor-arlista-teszt/
On this page, I’ve got 2 tables (manual type, uploaded from Excel file) and if you are searching for “laz” (instead of “láz”) or for “vercukor” (instead of “vércukor”), the results are appearing even if you searching without the accents.

    https://krokirendelo.hu/labor-arlista/
However, on this page, it doesn’t work like that with Google Spreadsheet-type tables.

So as I see the feature is implemented already, but why the tables are behaving differently? What should I do with Google Spreadsheet tables to make them work like with manual tables?

    Please advise!

    Hello.
I can see that you have the premium plugin version, since you have the Manual Tables available as well.
We are not allowed to discuss anything about premium features here,
so if you can be so kind, please open a ticket on our main support platform here https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ and we can proceed to check this use-case in more details.
    Thank you
