Search WordPress Category Lander/Listings

  • I need to be able to search WordPress Category Landers is this possible in WordPress?

    I have a category named “cars” with a child sub category “ford”

    Cars /cars/ Ford /cars/ford/

    Now on the “Ford” subcategory I created a custom template for it file name category-ford.php

    In the category-ford.php template I have a sentence and a piece of text that says “buy ford vehicles”

    My problem,

    When I search for “buy ford vehicles” I do not get any results for this sub category in the search listings at all. This text is hard coded as part of the template and not text that comes from a loop. Is there anyway to make /cars/ford URL show up in the WordPress search listings?
