Searchable GUI connected to query a CSV File

We′re using WP as a company intranet and have had a successful deployment except for a couple of functionals item from the previous platform that we still need to solve for. Any ideas/synergy would be greatly appreciated… Here goes:

1. We have a list of ‘parts’ exported weekly into a CSV file from our internal ERP system that always contains the same column headings and lists inventory. We need to build a GUI that would allow a user to query that CSV file and return matches. Any plugin suggestions on how best to build this functionality into our WP Portal?
2. We have a spreadsheet of employee data including name, branch and telephone numbers across our footprint. Similar to the previous item, could we either link to a standardized, spreadsheet or perhaps even build this as a small DB, again with a GUI that would allow a user to query that DB or Spreadsheet file and return matches.

I feel certain this is probably not terribly difficult. I’ve not come across a solution via the plugin knowledge base and these forums so, if anyone could help me stimulate some neuronal activity on my end, I’d be grateful! Thx…!!
