Searching for a very simple scheduling plugin

    Instead of reinventing the wheel, am trying to find a scheduling plugin that could perform the following tasks:
    Our NGO has an information desk to promote and inform on our services. Every week one member is on duty and one is his backup in case the on-duty member becomes unavailable.
    We are looking for a plugin that will allow members to sign-up on the weekly scheduler by simply clicking on an empty date.
    There should be only two possible entry for any given week, the primary on-duty and the secondary, the back-up person. The entries in the scheduler have to be accessible by the system because these entries will serve as the parameters of automatically triggered scripts initiating further actions.
    This scheduler need to only show 2 fields for any given week and only qualified members can sign up on it.
