    Hi there,

In “My Calendar” I’m using the widget “Event search” but I get no results, its always empty. What is this function searching for? Event titles or any plain text of an event?

Additionally it would be fine to have a widget title for the search as other widgets have.

Your “My Calendar” has just all the great functions I’m looking for. Many thanks for that.

And many thanks for any Help!

    Regards
    ChrisChros

The function searches event title, description, short description, and location name.

By default, it shows results on the home page; but on some themes, the home page doesn’t run the loop, which means that no results show up. Are you getting a message saying there are no results, or is it just not returning anything?

I have a similar problem. When I’m in the backend of My Calendar and want to edit or delete some events, I would love to use the search-box. But there never shows up any result. Do I have to use jokers like * or something (in fact I tried that and it didn’t work) to find an entry?

    Regards
    Andreas

The search is a full text search, and full text searches require that you use the MyISAM engine on the searched tables. Use a tool like PhpMyAdmin or the plugin “Adminer” to change the engine used by your My Calendar database tables.

You don’t need to change any core tables.

Thank you! That works perfectly ??

I’m having this same problem but I’m not given the option to upgrade to 2.3.23. I’m currently using 2.3.10 with WordPress 3.6.1. It appears the 2.3.23 requires 3.8.5. Are you no longer supporting WordPress 3.6.1? I unfortunately can’t upgrade my version of WordPress.

Any change you could pin-point the line of code that could be changed to fix this problem?
