Searching for Gallery Plugin with user upload

  • Hi Community!
    My Name is Jakob i’m from Germany and searching for a special Gallery for more than a half year. I hope you can help me to find the right Plugin.

    The Gallery needs this funktions:
    -Registrat Users can Upload and delete Pictures in there own Gallery (dont like a post, only Picture upload with large Comments => it must be easy for the Users).
    -The large Comments have to be shown with the pictures as a description. If it posible, i like to set a online form like (ISO/ASA: , Exposure time: , …)
    -All User-Gallerys shown under one directory, e.g. UserPics. (User-Pics –> Martin, Anna, ….)
    -User can rank this Pictures (Stars, Points…)
    -I need a Widget like 10 last pictures for mainframe and sidebar.

    I’m already tested:
    Gallery for Users
    NGG
    Envira
    Gallery Manager (Lite)
    And many more…
    …all Gallerys use picture upload like a post, ore have no strukture like (User-Pics –> Martin, Anna, ….). Maybe the Plugin is right but i dont know to use it ??

  • With NGG you can create gallery templates for specific displays. So you could query a certain user and then display images with descriptions. An example by you of a site that looks like what you are looking for would help though.

    As for allowing users only to edit and upload their own images, well, WordPress does have basic Access Control Levels. There are also plugins that can refine control. But as you said it is more for post, cpt and or page access.

    You do mention that you want users only to upload images with descriptions. Well did you check out https://code.tutsplus.com/articles/allow-users-to-submit-images-to-your-wordpress-site–wp-22601 ? That would allow user to use the frontend to upload images with captions into certain categories. This may not be quite what you need, but gets you going.

    You could build upon it or get a developer to work things out. Things that would need to be added is (automatic) loading of image data, registration and creation of user image gallery, sidebar widget. So perhaps this plugin’s functionality could be added to a new plugin with the additional functionality. Perhaps one without the need for NGG altogether.

    NB Did you ask the author of gallery plugins like NGG about your needs? That could not hurt either..
