Searching for Particular Plugin

Hello
This is more of a question than a request for help. Is there somewhere a plugin that allows the WP owner to create a gallery with unlimited 96x96px avatars (local) and gives the opportunity to new members to choose from.
Gravatar os great but it’s an oldie and the newbies don’t know about while the 5 WP avatars really sux.
