Searching for Plugin: User Status (but without Twitter or anything similar)

Hey there,
I’m searching for a plugin that works similar like all the other twitter plugins out there. BUT: I want to use it without twitter.

Here is what I need:
I have a blog and we are 5 authors. I would like to have a plugin, which allows every user to update his personal status (e.g.: “Author A is currently on holiday”). Idealwise it would look similar to the WP Wall Plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-wall/). The logged in author should change his status via the Frontend (widget) (like in WP Wall). The status should be limited to e.g. 160 characters and everytime the author changes his status, the old status should be overwritten.
All other authors who are logged into the blog, should see the status of all authors in the widget.

I’m sure that anything similar is anywhere out there. I can’t be the only person who needs such a plugin. But after several hours of searching in the plugin directory I need your help.
