searching multiple terms in keywords

  • Hello, I‘m using extensive tagging of posts on WP. i have configured the extended search plugin to allow searching in title, content, excerpt and taxonomy ?keywords‘. term relation AND, exact matching NO. i‘m facing a problem that searching for multiple tags typically doesn’t work. say a post has tag1 tag2 tag3 on it, and I‘m searching ?tag1 tag3“ it would not be found. however if the title of the post were ?word1 word2 word3“ a search for ?word1 word3“ would work. also searching ?word1 tag3“ works. thank you for feedback.

    Hi,

    That’s a known limitation. To keep this plugin fast I am giving up some features. You can search multiple words from a single tag but combining tags will results in this issue unless you choose OR relation.

    This is a long pending issue so far I did not found easy solution without changing the design or query speed.

    I hope in future I can fix it.
