Searching PDFs

    I’m just getting started. I installed the (free, for now) plugin, told it to search all post types including Media, and told it to search only .pdf in media types. It finds all the CPT text but not anything in the uploaded PDFs. Is there something I need to do? Run an indexing function? A setting I’m missing? Thanks.

    Hi,

    It will be free forever ??

    Plugin searches in PDF attachment metadata which means if PDF title, description matches the query then it will display the attachment post type in search result. It can not search text inside the PDF file. Is this what you are expecting?

    If not then please share the setting screenshot, link to site and query that I can test to see the results and expected results.

    Aha. Aha. I was hoping for full content search, but thanks to your message I realize I can get the submitters to add keywords (in a new taxonomy). Thanks.
