Searching the Country field with BP Profile Search

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for letting me know.

Is the set(something similar to check list) not supported now? I had used it in pas based on your document/code to have a dropdown of countries available(as checkboxes list).

I haven’t tested these together recently. will do that in next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have dropped the set field, Is there any other field that can be used to show pre-populated options dropdown?

Thank you for your quick reply!

$field->format = 'set' means that the field value stored in the database is a serialized array, while

$field->format = 'text' means that the field value stored in the database is a simple string.

The ‘set’ format is still supported, but only works for fields stored as a serialized array.

Sorry, I didn’t answer part of your question.

With $field->format = 'text', the search field is displayed as a standard pre-populated <select> element if you choose the is search mode, or as a list of pre-populated checkboxes if you choose the is one of search mode.
