I have a 5 column table with a link (to google.com/… ) in each cell in column 1. The problem is that when the search term is Google, TablePress finds all rows since each row has a link in it.

    Is there a way to:

    1. tell TablePress NOT to search html code?
    OR
    2. search for a phrase, such as “Google Inc”

    Thanks.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

From what I know about the DataTables JS library, it should not search in the URLs of links, actually…
With the latest version, it should also be possible to search for phrases, by wrapping them in quotation marks, just like you did it in your example.

Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

I did try the quotes but that didn’t work. The url is https://oropatentbook.com/. The term “Google” is in the “Assignee” column (several pages in). But each cell in column one is a link to google.com.

Forgot to add – it takes a minute to load (10,000 rows).

    Hi,

thanks for the link! Can you please update TablePress to version 1.5.1?
After that, this should both work.
