    Hello everyone!

So, I’m writting this because I have a big dilema about how a season change works. So my question is: If a team goes to a higher or lower division to the season 21/22, it will be appearing also in the division where they played last year? Like, imagine my team is in the gold division and we go down to silver next year. I want to keep the results of last year, but I don’t want my team to appear in the Gold Division any longer. I don’t know if I have to reset the season in the team’s page or something. Thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I think that is the major problem of the plugin.
    I think there’s no link between season/team/league.
The workaround I’m trying is to have not the league with its name, but a league name that includes the season.
    For example: “Serie A – 2019-2020”, “Serie A – 2020-2021”, etc

    Thanks for your reply Cesar,

I was thinking the same, I think the only way is to put the name of the league and season. However, I saw an image with a possible solution and I thought that maybe I could do something like that

    Hi @redaccionolympia and @cesarewp ,

SportsPress is more than capable to maintain several leagues and seasons without any hassle. I have a site that has 2 leagues with stats from 2009 till today!

What exactly is the issue you are facing with the new season?

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    Hey @savvasha

First of all, Merry Christmas! So, I don’t have the problem yet, because it’s my first season using SportsPress. But I’m thinking about what will happen when a new season of a league starts with new teams and teams that aren’t in the league anymore. I think that if I put a season 21/22 all the teams that have played the league will appear in the automatic standings tables.

    Thanks for your reply!

    Hi @redaccionolympia ,

Merry Christmas ?? For the next season you will add the new season to all participated teams. You should also make sure that you assign also the League to the new teams. Then when you create a new table you will the League and the new Season to the table settings. If for some reason the auto mode is showing some false positives, then you can manual select the correct teams. The calendar will work with the auto mode 100%

    Thanks,
    Savvas

All you need to do, is to MANUAL create the seasons,

in each season you must pick manually the

    for ie:
    Team Spain
    Leagues:
    Euro 2020 – Group F,
Nations League A-Gr.4, (season 2018/2019 and 2020/2021 same group)
Nations League – Final Four, (for season 2020/2021)
    WorldCup2018 – Grupo B,
    WorldCup2018(Q) UEFA Gr.G
    seasons: 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21

    now create all Leagues
    Nations League 2020/2021 Liga A-Gr.4
pick manually teams: Spain, Germany, Ukrain, Swiss
Nation League Final Four: pick belgium, Spain, Italy and france.
    Nations League 2018/2019 Liga A-Gr.4
    pick temas

and it works like a charm.
