Second blog page within the blog

  • Hi guys,
    i really like the orvis theme but i desperately need a second blog page within the blog instead of a static page. is there any possibility to create it (with a plugin, a trick or whatever)?

    Hi there, I’m assuming you want to show certain posts on one page and then other posts on the other. The best way to do that is to use categories. Create two categories and assign the posts to those categories as appropriate and then add those category pages to your top navigation menu. That way when someone clicks on one or the other they only see the posts for that particular category.

    thanks a lot! i actually didnt want to use categories. i just need a second page where i can post blog posts to a different topic ??

    A category page uses the same post loop code that is used on a blog page, except there is a code added that filters the posts to show only those posts in that particular category.

    To create a second blog page that would show only certain posts would require adding that same sort of filtering code, so in essence, it would be the same thing really.

    not sure if I understand you right. I have no clue how to set up a category page with that theme ?? and the main problem is that I need to repost single blog posts. this is only possible from the blog page
