Second title tag in code

  • Hi everyone,

    I have this weird 2nd title tag on just every page and I can not figure out where it is located, or what is causing that.

    <title>Unbenanntes Dokument</title>

    When I’m searching with the “string locator” for it, it is definitely not in a theme or a plugin. Also I have deactivated them, to test it – still there.

    Has anybody an idea what causes that?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

    It is solved.
    It was surely 4 years on my website and I never was conscious of it!

    It was a custom html text that I have created for a widget.
