Second wp installation on addon domain

  • Hi,

    I’m running wordpress on my first domain. The instalation is in the public html folder… Everything is working good…
    Now i’ve purchased a new domain. I would like to instal a seperate wp for it. Bluehost is asking me to make a “addon domain” in a subfolder.

    After that, will i be able to install wordpress in it?
    Won’t it make anything wrong with my first instal ?

  • That’s just the way cPanel works. It uses a subfolder, but Apache will assign that subfolder as the root folder for your domain, so it will still work fine, and you can still install WordPress in it and access it directly from your new domain name in a browser’s address bar.

    It won’t mess up your initial install when the subfolder installation is done.
