Secondary menu question

  • In the free version of the Virtue theme is it possible to move the secondary menu so that it is displayed below the slider on the home page, rather than above the slider?

    I looked at the header.php and tried to move the nav bar like you do with the TwentyTwelve theme but it’s not working like that.

    Could you give some pointers if this is possible and how to move the menu below the home page slider?

    BTW I really like this theme and how it is so easy to use the theme settings and don’t want to change theme if possible.

  • Hey,
    This isn’t possible with the current theme options. And it wouldn’t be easy to do even with a child theme. The header which loads the menu is on every page so if you place the theme slider into the header then it will want to load on every page. So what you would have to do is an the slider code to the header but inside a function that checks if it’s the front page or not, that way it would only show on the front page. Then you would need to remove the slider call in the templates font-page.php so the slider doesn’t load twice.
