    Hi,

I have a webpage with a couple of updraft backups using the free version. When I make a second installation of a WordPress with a second domain and I install the plugin there and I connect with the same gmail account I don’t see the 2 backups I already have done in the primary domain (first WordPress installation)

I’d like to have a secondary domain/site to develop and test things without messing up the main site. Is this possible with the updraft free version? could you give me advice with it?

    thanks,
    David

    Hi,

Did you click the “Rescan remote storage” link? That should refresh the backup list and show all the backups in the folder.

    Thanks,

yes, I’ve tried but they don’t appear. Also it is weird that when I go to the google drive of the account the folder is there created but it’s empty.

the two website are in two different domains but in the same machine…

    Hi,

It is possible that the backup failed.
For us to find out, please could you send us the latest copy of the backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Hi, I could enable the remote storage. It seems one has to select the settings of the cloud drive to use, save the settings and finally come back to the tab/section then press the button to link. But not both things without saving first.

However, when I try to restore a backup from one website to another one I get this:
    ——-

This backup set was not known by UpdraftPlus to be created by the current WordPress installation, but was either found in remote storage, or was sent from a remote site. You should make sure that this really is a backup set intended for use on this website, before you restore (rather than a backup set of an unrelated website).
This backup set is from a different site (https://www.xxx.com / https://t1.yyy.xyz) - this is not a restoration, but a migration. You need the Migrator add-on in order to make this work.
You can search and replace your database (for migrating a website to a new location/URL) with the Migrator add-on - follow this link for more information
    This database backup has the following WordPress tables excluded: ahc_browsers, ahc_countries, ahc_daily_visitors_stats, ahc_hits, ahc_keywords, ahc_online_users, ahc_recent_visitors, ahc_refering_sites, ahc_search_engine_crawlers, ahc_search_engines, ahc_searching_visits, ahc_settings, ahc_title_traffic, ahc_visitors, ahc_visits_time

is there any way to make this restoration-migration manually to avoid having to purchase the plus? I’m only going to be in this use case once or twice.

    thanks,
    David

    Hi,

If moving a site to a different URL/location, I’m afraid you will need the migrator add-on. It is an unlimited add-on so you can use it in as many sites as you want.

    Thanks,
    Bryle
