Secret Key Randomly Dropped?

    Hey Julien,

    I had an issue come up with your plugin that I can’t seem to find and answers to online.
    So I have 2 users on my site that have 2 factor set up. I sat with them and generated the QR code. They had been using the app to login no issues until recently they could not login. I had a look at their profiles and it stated that the user had not generated a key yet. I know for sure they did and were using it for some time.

    Any idea why wordpress would forget the secret key?

    Hi Erik,

    Never heard this issue before. I don’t see any reason why WordPress would drop the secret key. Has this happened more than once?

    Hey Julien,

    I got to the bottom of the issue.
    Turns out my user had not set up the 2 factor in the first place.

    They were however still having issues signing in. This was due to the time zone on the android device not being set properly. Once I set it to match the site, 2 factor codes started working.
