Hello,
I bought Thrive Themes Builder and it came with Woocommerce, which i’ve never used, but I’ve seen it in action before. My concern is that even after reading Digital/Downloadable Product Handling document, that I will still not have secure links. I have chosen Force Downloads, but do not want the links to expire (as that’s annoying from a customer standpoint). My server also does not have NGinx. What else can I do to ensure my links are not stolen and shared? How do I ensure the link is only available to a customer who has paid, and that the customer cannot share the download link? Thanks.

Hi there!

You could require login to view the file in Downloadable Product settings: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#section-1. That way, only the customer can access the file.

Alternatively, you could consider using Amazon S3 Storage to generate unique download links: https://woocommerce.com/products/amazon-s3-storage/

(@mouli) Hi there, I am using WooCommerce and my products are stored on Amazon S3. If I activate “encryption from the server” on the Amazon server for each downloadable file, will this not be sufficient to have WooCommerce links generated that cannot be shared? Or is the Amazon S3 Storage extension definitely required? Thanks!
