Securing bbPress

    Hi,

    Hoping someone can help. I want a private forum which only logged in users can access. I have also installed bbpress private groups to set up groups of users for particular forums.
    The forums have been set to private and the groups plugin has allowed me to create groups and manage access to forums based on these groups.

    What is concerning however is that google is returning search replies of the url:
    https://www.mysite/forums/user/useremailaddress/
    I can then access their profile; topics; replies and favorites…

    This is a HUGE problem for my users.

    How do i go about restricting this as I have obviously incorrectly assumed this would be covered with the steps I have already taken

    @payges Profiles are not restricted within bbpress, but private groups should filter topics, replies and favorites to show only those that the accessing user is allowed to see – please check that this is the case – if you are not getting this – then please advise me soonest.

    Yes they are appearing in google searches…

    I have set the forums to private
    I have se up groups and made the forums only accessible to particular groups
    None of the forums are public
    all of this seems to be working for users…

    but as mentioned the url forums/user/ seems to be returning results and they are clickable i can actually read replies/favorites/profile of users

    …And thats with me not logged in..on another browser and logged out…

    ok, can you let me know if within these the user can see topics/replies they should not. This is a key question – I can fix the rest but need help to confirm/deny this.

    Apologies for going awol…its just something I’m working on my spare time..and right now in the middle of a house move…
    Even though it’s important I can’t tend to it just yet..Can I have look and response on Sunday?
