In our plugin every value received from browsers is sanitized, using the sanitization functions of WordPress (https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/theme-security/data-sanitization-escaping/), furthermore, the when the values are stored in the database they are escaped using the $wpdb->prepare, and the same for the tags attributes, using the eacape functions of WordPress: esc_attr, esc_textarea, esc_js (and all other escape functions when applicable)
