Just installed this plugin on 1 of my websites. It looks excatcly 100% the same as the other plugin (…) which I uninstalled on all my clients sites yesterday.

But how is that possible? Did you rebuild the other plugin (…) step by step?

And how about security? Normaly I never install plugins with just 2000 installs on my clients websites. But I realy want to keep this one… Will there be active development and also keep the plugin secure?

And of course, please provide us a way then to supoer you (donations)!

    Thanks so far!

    Alwin

It is effectively a fork of GAWDP. A few years back when GAWDP was acquired several clients using GAWDP expressed concern with how the OAuth process was rewritten in a way that gave third-party access to their GA data.

After exploring a few options, I created a version of GAWDP that restored the direct OAuth method to solve the issue. Thinking others might find it useful I also posted it to www.ads-software.com.

The code was re-namedspaced but generally similar to GAWDP. I also added some config to facilitate using the new version as a GA data API for WP.

Given its lineage back to GADWP and the fact that no security issues have been reported in the last few years, it should be pretty secure. Let me know if you find anything.

I really like it finding this simple plugin (again :-))!! Everywhere I read that there is no exchange of GA data between GA and IntelligenceWP or other third parties. But when I look at GA I see that “GAinWP has acccess to GA”.
    Is this ok/trusted?

@jramerman I think it means that the plugin has access to GA. Without access the GA data could never be displayed in the dashboard widget.
