• Hello
Wordfence alerted me to changes in a few css files that do not match the repository:

    /css/sassy-social-share-default-svg-vertical.css
    /css/sassy-social-share-hover-svg-horizontal.css
    /css/sassy-social-share-hover-svg-vertical.css

    Please can you explain this?

    Hello

    Have you edited those files?

Wordfence is verifies your files to see if all files on your website (I’m talking about WP Core, plugins and themes) are untouched, if it says some files don’t match the repository, then than means that you or someone else modified them (it could be your developer, your designer, a hacker and whatnot).

When you change the color of social share icon via the Logo color option in Theme Selection section at plugin options page in admin, plugin makes changes in the CSS files you just mentioned. When Wordfence compares these updated files with the default files of the plugin, it finds the difference and hence generates the notification.

Ok, wordfence also says this alert comes up when the developer makes changes and doesn’t update the version ??

And no, I haven’t edited those files. Why would I do that? I’m not a developer

I haven’t done any of those things you say may have caused this.

And no other people have access to the site. We don’t have a developer. I create posts and pages. Don’t need a dev to do that. Anyone can use wordpress

I got the same message for another plugin, but the plugin author was honest enough to admit he changed the code outside of the release cycle.
Is this a similar issue? I’m not trying to blame you, I just want to know what’s caused this.

If you give me the url of the webpage where you are facing this problem, would be able to tell you the difference between the default and the current files.
