    Hi,

    I’ve been using your plugin for the last couple years. I like the simplicity and ease of use of it. Recently, however, I’ve notice that the spammers have figured a way around the standard ‘honeypot’ security measure. I now am being spammed daily via your easy sign up widget. I wanted to let you know about this and ask if you are planning to add a counter measure to prevent this spamming (perhaps such as reCaptcha or something similar)?

    Thanks for the plugin. I have used it for two years (though I must admit only two people have actually signed up, as my site doesn’t get much traffic) and liked it.

    Thanks for letting me know about the spam, the title “Security Breaches” scared me a bit but I was relieved to know it was related to spam which is not a Security Breach, phew!

    Is there any common denominator to the spam? Are they coming from the same bot, sender? Is the content similar, are the IP addresses related?

    Yes, sorry about the title. I realize it is a bit dramatic. ?? The messages all seem to be coming from bots. They are likely from a non English speaking country as the grammar and wording sounds like English is not the primary language. The content is all very similar and is along the lines of, ‘information regarding your account’, etc.

    How are they sending content since the plugin only asks for name, phone and email?

    Feel free to forward me any spam from the sign up plugin to rew(at)beforesite.com and I’ll investigate.

    I will look into adding Googles recaptcha the next release, but I can’t give a date on that.

    I’m having a similar redirect.
    The site is:
    https://www.millerunion.com/site/home/mailing-list/

    Takes a second and then redirects to Flash Download page which i’m sure is chock full of malware.
