• I’m getting the follow security error when I try to update a product that was created by another admin. Any ideas why or how to fix?

“The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.”

  • Hi Sheila,

This is definitely not a restriction of our plugin. You can create a product as one admin and update as another without issue. Do you have a security plugin activated that might be interfering? If not, you may indeed want to get in touch with your host to see if they add any extra security.

I installed Wordfence Security recently. I uninstalled it but I am still getting the error.

The only other difference is that he is using a Mac and I’m on a PC, which I am assuming has nothing to do with this.

    Hi Sheila,

That indeed doesn’t have anything to do with it. This isn’t an error caused by the plugin. Have you ever successfully done before what you’re trying to do now? I would contact your host.

This is the first time someone else has entered products into the catalog. It seems that when I log in as a different user, I can make edits but when I save the changes I get the error.

Also, he is not able to go back and edit and save changes to the product either.

i have a support ticket with my host.
