security issue yoast indexing username instead of public name

    We are not sure what is happening but we do know there are some settings that permits Google to crawl and index author pages. If you go to SEO-Search Appearance-Archives can you confirm the Author archives is disabled? This will tell Google to begin to remove any author pages that are appearing in the index.

    If you do that, does the issue then resolve?

    hi Pcosta88,

    after recognition of indexed username, I already deleted indexed account and set author archive to noindex…

    but I wanted to make you aware of this failure…

    and author’s username is still indexed in google, but doesn’t exist anymore…
    so in terms of security, this has been fixed on my site…

    in terms of general issues, I can’t tell, if the problem is fixed…

    You can tell Google to remove the URLs that are appearing in Google. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/
